In the short time that we have been open, we have assisted Many Veterans and family members from throughout the North Central Kansas area apply for benefits, enroll in VA Healthcare and answered questions on various subjects.
Vietnam Era Veterans to be Recognized
In December we submitted 94 Applications to the State's Vietnam Era Medallion Program. These veterans served during the Vietnam Era and will receive a Medallion, Medal and Certificate honoring their service to our country. The Center is pleased to be a part of this overdue thank you to those veterans. A ceremony will be held at the Concordia American Legion Post 76 on Sunday, February 19th at 2pm awarding the Medallions to those that didn't request it be mailed to them. This includes approximately 60 veterans.
Free Federal & State Tax Filing Assistance!
The NCK Veterans Service Center is an authorized and certified Volunteer Income Tax Assistance and Tax Counseling for the Elderly Site and a Beehive Site. This service is not be limited to Veterans or Military as we will offer this service to the general public. Both programs are e-file programs which mean you get your refunds much faster than traditional filing.
